Wiring built for mining’s toughest conditions

Mining equipment runs in hot, dry, dusty and often remote environments, where a wiring failure means downtime, lost production or risk to people.

Complete Wiring designs and manufactures custom wiring and cable assemblies for mining equipment and control systems at our Capalaba facility in Brisbane — from your drawing or specification through to a tested, finished assembly. Components are sourced globally; design and manufacture happen locally, so you have one team and one point of contact for the life of the project.

What we manufacture for mining applications

We build custom wiring and cable solutions for mining’s highest-stakes applications — where failure is not an option:

  • Control systems and automation — custom cabling for automated and remotely monitored equipment, including autonomous drilling systems
  • Safety-related products and systems — wiring for equipment where reliability is directly tied to worker safety
  • Harsh and remote environment equipment — cable and harness solutions built to withstand heat, dust, vibration and isolation
  • Mining-associated transport — custom cable sets for mining-sector rail and transport equipment

We also support the broader equipment types mining customers bring to us, including haul trucks, excavators and loaders, drill rigs, crushers and processing plant, and conveyor systems.

Case study: Custom cabling for autonomous drilling systems

  • Custom cabling for autonomous drilling systems

A remotely monitored control panel safety system now enables 24-hour automation of a drilling rig platform for a mining customer operating in the Pilbara. The system keeps site workers clear of danger zones in a hot, dry, dusty and remote environment, where equipment has to perform without exception. Every cable and wire in the system…

Frequently asked questions

Every production item passes 100% unit testing, not a sample or batch, so every cable and harness is individually checked before it leaves our facility. Results are recorded against our controlled quality system.

We are ISO 9001:2015 quality assured, and our cable and harness assemblies are made to IPC/WHMA-A-620, supported by a certified IPC trainer on staff. This gives mining and other regulated buyers a documented quality system to assess.

You send us your drawings, specifications or an outline of the requirement, and we review the application before confirming scope. Where needed we build a prototype for your approval, then move to production, testing and delivery, all tracked through our controlled quality system.

Yes. We design and manufacture custom wiring and cable assemblies for equipment operating in heat, dust, vibration and isolation, working from your drawings, specifications or requirements to select components suited to the operating environment.

If you come across a faulty item, we fix or replace it at no cost to you, backed by our quality guarantee. You also keep the same point of contact from enquiry through to delivery, with your production and test records on file to support fast repairs, replacements or reorders.

There is no minimum order value with Complete Wiring — we support one-off prototypes and small batches, and can scale into larger production runs as your project grows. For continuous, high-volume repeat production, the Complete Wiring Group also connects you with Wiring Solutions Plus, a Complete Wiring Group company specialising in repeatable, production-focused manufacturing.

Lead time depends on complexity, volume, component availability and project requirements, and is confirmed at quote stage.

Complete Wiring has supported Australia’s high-reliability industries for more than 30 years, including mining and industrial equipment, under Matt Rabbitt’s leadership since 2006.
